Description: I. The Duke of Connaught, along with his son Prince Arthur of Connaught, on 20 November, coming out of Tramecourt Château and posing on the steps. II. Following this is the arrival of Connaught (without the Prince) at the Trench School of Instruction, Helfaut, also on 20 November. He watches a demonstration of the 3-inch mortar by British troops with American officers under training. III. The Duke, also in November, arrives at Zudroye to inspect 1st Battalion, the Grenadier Guards. He is accompanied by its commanding officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Maitland-Makgill-Crichton. Connaught leads the battalion in three cheers for the King. IV. The film ends with a scene (also in IWM 117 THE DUKE OF CONNAUGHT REVIEWS THE GUARDS) of the Duke, apparently at Helfaut, inspecting a type of shell or mine with a group of officers, one of whom is American.
